Thieves Tavern Oche Committee
The Thieves Tavern Oche (TTO) Committee is the governing and administrative body responsible for overseeing the organisation, standards, operations and development of the Thieves Tavern and its respective leagues.
This includes managing rules, overseeing disciplinary issues, approving changes to the league format, providing support to players, and planning events and future development. The committee is composed of dedicated members who are passionate about the sport and committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community. They work tirelessly to ensure that the league operates smoothly and that all participants feel valued and respected. Through regular meetings and open forums, the TTO Committee encourages players and members to voice their ideas and concerns, promoting a collaborative environment. This participatory approach not only strengthens the league but also ensures that it remains vibrant and responsive to the needs of its members.
Governance
How the league is run
The committee acts as the administrative and strategic core, taking care of scheduling, competition structure, documentation, branding, funding and record keeping. Every major decision affecting the league is discussed and voted on, creating a transparent and democratic structure where everyone involved has confidence that the league is being run correctly and efficiently for all members.
Purpose
What the committee stands for
Integrity
Establishing fair and transparent rules upholds the integrity of our league. The Committee is dedicated to high ethical standards and a code of conduct promoting fairness and respect. This commitment is evident in match conduct and dispute resolution, fostering a culture of honesty and accountability.
Innovation
Ensuring that our expansion ideas remain at the forefront is essential for the Committee's focus on the league's growth and sustainability. By continually innovating and introducing fresh concepts, we can keep the league competitive and appealing, which will help us retain existing members, attract new ones, and gain additional supporters.
Communication
The Committee should act as a vital link to our players, keeping them updated on ongoing developments and making sure they are aware of any changes. It's also crucial that their voices are acknowledged and taken into account in every possible manner. Facilitating this communication promotes quicker growth and clarity across the board.
